Three days until my second backpacking trip starts. At 12:00 PM we went through our packs for the last time. I need a bigger pack that is durable because my pack is overflowing so the straps have a lot of stress. But I will finally get to test my gear. Keep an eye on the following items to see if hey are needed: footprint, extra food, trash bags, foil, rope, and towel. Look for usefulness of candles, book and other stuff. This is going to be the field test of most of my gear. I feel that, at the rate I'm going, I'm not going to end up going on many trips. So for the moment, I need to find a place where I can go, maybe with Jenny, on a weekend trip a few times a year. It's better than nothing. I realize I need to find a hiking buddy soon that I can go with on week long trips. Now that I've been introduced to backpacking, I know that one trip a year is not going to be sufficient for me. Mr. Cleek isn't able to go very often and soon might not be able to go at all. But I hope that is far in the future.
