06:43: This is going to be my first full day at Rockbound. Once again, it's a beautiful morning Mr. Cleek is still asleep. I woke up a lot of times last night, a few times because I was hot, the rest because I forgot to make a pillow (Doh!). More on gear: gloves, beany and towel seem useless in this weather. I think Mr. Cleek's little lantern is not very useful either. I have not used the waterproof jacket and pants. I have to have the inserts from my boots also in my sneakers. As for socks, two heavy and two light pairs are perfect. For light walking, one light pair is good. For other walking, one thick and one thin is needed. My sleeping pad is torn up from the trees on the hike in. See picutre for 6-11, 7:07 AM for my current view.
08:30: I now find out I have way too much food. First, I only needed one 11 oz package of gorp for the whole trip. Second, I brought an extra breakfast. Third, since the tea doesn't taste good without sugar, stick to hot cocoa. I don't need the knife in my kitchen and I can only bear to eat one pita pocket per meal. So only pack 1 pita bread for each breakfast and each dinner and I have to make sure I eat it so I don't have extra. Six was perfect for this trip but I didn't eat one last night. I'll have to see how my lunch stuff goes. Dinner stuff is perfect.

12:13: Well, we just climbed a small mountain near Rockbound and I am sitting here enjoying the view. Mr. Cleek took off for a nearby, slightly higher mountain. On the way up to this one, my heels were getting raw from my camp shoes so I took them off. At some point up the mountain, I lost one of my black socks and my feet are raw from climbing rocks barefoot. It's cold up here now and getting a bit windy. 12:38 PM - I just took two pictures of Mr. Cleek on the other mountain from here. See photos for 6-11, 12:34 PM.

15:40: Well we hiked down back to camp, grabbed our poles and headed off for the point to get Mr. Cleeks dinner. About 30 minutes ago, I stripped down to the nude and jumped into the lake. I was out again within eight seconds. It felt good and refreshing. I won't go into any more details. Now I'm sitting in the sun waiting for a fish to bite. I'm getting kinda hot and might need to get in the shade because I will get a sunburn. Unfortunately, mesquitoes like the shade too.
