07:12: Today I woke up at about 6:15. Through the whole night, I kept waking up because my neck hurt. I must have woken 10 times. Everything outside including my rainfly is soking wet as if it had rained. A while ago, the fog seemed as if it were going to lift. There was already patches of blue sky overhead and especially up the canyon. This spot is very beautiful. Yesterday at the lighthouse, I was unable to get one of my rolls of film to load. If I can't I only have 32 pictures left instead of 57. I kind of wanted to start a fire this morning, but last night my sunburned legs were on fire. If today is going to be sunny, I better keep the sunblock coming.

21:02: Long day today. First at ~9, we hiked up the creek that we thought was Randall Creek. We went ABOUT 1 1/2 miles where I got my feet soaked a couple of times. More importantly, I learned how useful the boots are when crossing shallow streams. I can step almost 6 inches deep in water and still keep my feet dry. I also learned that boots get slippery when muddy. So I fell in deeper water a couple of times. Whe we got back to camp we packed up and left at about 12:00. We hiked for about 1 1/2 hours before we came to a flatland area. Randall Creek to Spanish Creek is two miles. The Spanish flats start right about Randall Creek. After much time and confusion, I figured out that we had stayed at Cooskie Creek the night before. Of course I had walked 1 1/2 miles without my pack to Oak Creek and back before I discovered this. On the hike we found a nice little canyon just before Spanish flats. We backpacked about 1/8 mile from where our packs were and ended up at what I think is the REAL Randall Creek. The camping spot is small and not particularly beautiful. The beach on both sides of the mouth of the creek is enclosed by high-tide. Tomorrow, we need to get some distance. Fortunately, at least for a couple miles, the trail is on dirt ground instead of sand, where we go about 2 mph. Right now we're all fogged in and we have a fire going in the middle of the creek. My clothes are sitting by the fire steaming dry from when I washed them when I bathed in the cold creek. We are near the big rock where a doe and two fawns came around. I have a picture of the deer. Mr. Cleek went around a large rock formation down a steep slope, I went to go around the safer long way when two fawns came hopping out followed by their mother. I took the pics and went around the rock. Mr. Cleek came around real mad because he hadn't been able to get his camera out fast enough. Also, I was able to get that roll of film working so I have 48 pics for 4 1/2 days.
