10:05: I didn't sleep well again last night. I kept waking up cold. In the middle of the night, I took my fleece shirt out of my pillow and put it on. Afterward, I was warm, but then I kept waking up because I had to move. Tonight I'm going to have my fly on. I think it helps keep in the air. So far, I haven't been able to really enjoy the starts because the moon is so bright. It is only gonna get brighter too. Right now I'm sitting under a huge slab of rock held up only by much smaller rocks on the top of the mountain just east of Muriel Lake. It took and hour to get up here, but the trip was great. [I got was I was hoping for], just the sights and sound of nature. That is what I want most when I'm up here: peace and quiet. I have no problem going on solo day hikes just to get some. Also, I could go at a reasonable pace, just fast enough so that I was breathing slightly harder than normal. This mountain is over 11820 feet, so I am able to get some great pics of the area. At 9:31, I got a picture from the highest point on the mountain. I spent another 15 exposures on the views of the landscape. It is beautiful here. If only there were more trees so I wouldn't get so sunburned. It is getting cold, so I'm gonna head back down now. BTW, the daypack works great.

19:41: Dad and I are on the mountain to the east of Muriel Lake at about 11600 feet. From here we have a good view of the area. I'm gonna get some great sunset pics. After going down form the mountain earlier, I just lazed around. I sat and watched Dad fish for a while, then went to my tent to catch a nap and get out of the sun. I woke at 16:45 and sat by the lake for a while. Unfortunately, Dad's camera broke so we're going to have to share mine. It's really windy and chilly right now, and some altostratus are coming in. Maybe we might see some weather.
