14:45: I didn't get hardly any sleep last night again. I think I found the problem. First few times I would wake up cold. So I took my sweatshirt out of my pillow and put it on, along with my wool socks. Then I would wake up because I was uncomfortable. The sleeping quilt is narrow so that there are only 4 positions that keep me covered: back, stomach, and 2 sides. When covered, the quilt keeps me warm. If I move in my sleep and end up in a position other than one of the four, I wake up cold because some of my body parts are hanging out. So when I want to change positions, I wake up so that I can get into one of the four. To fix this problem, I need a sleeping bag that wraps around so that I can be in any position and still be covered. It does not have to be super warm because my clothes keep me warm too. Another gear problem is that, as my food back gets less full, my water bottle does not stay. So I need a way to attach the bottle to the pack. Finally, I should look into some silk long johns that are made for sun protection to wear during the day. Right now I'm sitting at our camp at Packsaddle Lake. We left Muriel Lake at 9:45. We decided to go off trail to get here, which was more fun, but probably took longer than it would have. We got here exactly 3 hours later at 12:45. We set up camp, and I've been lounging around in the shade since. Dad has gone to take pictures of the area. I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do.
