In mid July 2006 I went back to Emigrant Wilderness with Bill, Carl, and Mike. It was the longer of the two trips that year at three nights. After acclimating the first day, physically the trip was pretty easy. The toughest part was keeping the mosquitoes from biting. What marked this trip was that there were still patches of snow on the ground. This made hiking interesting, but it also had some added benefits to camp life.
