13:28: I got up around 8:00am today. The inside of my side of the tent had a lot of condensation on it, but Jenny's had none. I woke up several times last night not because I was cold but because I had to change sleeping positions. I think that is a habit carried over from last year's trip. I need my body to learn how to move without me having to wake up. My sleeping bag was warm but the tent condensation dripped a little on it. Not a big problem, but down is not supposed to get wet. I'm more concerned, however, about my bag losing feathers. I've lost 3 feathers but I'm not sure if that's normal.

Well, we ate breakfast, cleaned up, packed up, and headed to Chewing Gum Lake. The first half mile was uphill, then straight, then downhill, then straight. We hiked a long way around the lake trying to find a good campsite. There's a lote more people here than we expected, more than at Powell Lake. There's a lot more bugs too, like ants and flies. we got an okay spot that isn't too far from the lake but we must go through someones's camp to get water. We hope some people will pack out tomorrow so we can have our choice of sites. After we set our packs down Jenny and I went swimming in a secludded pond. It was refreshing.

19:33: Dad found a nice shaded spot at the other side of Chewing Gum Lake. It's close to another camper, but he'll probably leave tomorrow. After setting up camp Jenny and I took about a two hour nap in our cool tent, while Dad went fishing. The bugs are worse here because there's shade. There's a lot more mosquitos and people here than at Powell Lake, but it is still nice.
Around 2:00pm, clouds started forming to the north and they looked like they would just pass from west to east. At about 5:00pm we noticed a thunderhead forming and again it looked like it would pass. But then it seemed like the wind changed because the cloud started coming toward us. Now, the storm is dissipating and I doubt we'll see rain.

Though there was a little more sun than I wanted, it was still a pretty good day. Hopefully I'll sleep better tonight. Also remember that dinner is much more enjoyable if you like the food. You don't like pasta primavera or macaroni and cheese very much. Oh yeah, after the nap Jenny had a large blue spot on her mouth and her arm. What happened was that she drooled and it causes the dye on the pillow to run, drying on her. It was funny!
