More Best of Lassen

It is healing for me to think about the fun things Lassen did. I'm going to keep this a running list so I can always remember the joy he brought us.

He used to howl as ambulence sirens went by, even in the car. He used to pretend to lick his foot when he was really licking your pillow. He loved to tear up his stuffed toys, pull out the stuffing, and spit it out so he could go for more. He loved to rip up paper. If you held a piece of paper in your fingers, no matter how small it was, he would want to rip up that piece above all the others around him. If he was trying to cuddle with you in bed and you moved even a little bit, he would grunt or take a deep breath and sigh. After taking a load of clothes from the dryer and putting them on the floor our couch, he darted to the pile to lay on the warm, clean clothes. He licked my legs dry when I got out of the shower. He would pick up my sock after just taking it off my foot and bring it with him to bed, waiting for me to get it from him. If it was daytime, he would walk around the house wagging his tail with the sock in his mouth hoping I would follow him around. When Jenny and I were cuddling, he always wanted to get in between us to cuddle too. When Jenny and I were play wrestling, he would always bark and try to break us up. When Jenny would tease him by shaking her butt at him, he would jump and push her butt with his front legs.

When we came home and only he was there, he would be sitting on the couch and if I just stood there and stared at him, he would give you a look like "he thinks I did something wrong". Then I would call his name in a loving tone and he would jump off the couch and welcome us home.
